May 4, 2016 NCOTA Advocacy Day in Raleigh

Mar 17, 2016

Dear Member,

I am excited to invite you to join us for Advocacy Day on May 4, 2016, in Raleigh, and ask you to invite OT colleagues. As practitioners and students, WE are responsible to advocate for OT – because if we don’t, no one else will. The Legislators need to hear your unique perspective and experiences, and they want to hear stories of how OT has impacted lives.

Register your RSVP now at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/advocacy-day-2016-tickets-23820491732

Look for upcoming announcements regarding our new Advocacy Day resources – a short video by Ashley Perkinson, NCOTA Lobbyist, and an interactive Conference Call to help you feel more comfortable and prepared to talk with your legislators.

For an even greater impact, plan to wear purple on May 4th – the color of power and collaboration. Consider sharing the enclosed Save the Date Advocacy Day flyer via email, print, and on social media.

Best regards,

Amy Mahle, MHA, COTA/L

NCOTA President
