Summary of Event: Through discussion of evidenced based research and a local home modification program, occupational therapists (OT’s) will learn how to advocate for their services as part of a comprehensive home modification and accessibility plan. OT’s in all areas of practice will be able to utilize the concepts learned at this class for discharge recommendations, short term impairments and long term disabilities. Low cost home adaptations will be discussed as an alternative to remodeling for accessibility. *Ideal for therapists working in home health, involved in discharge planning or interested in home modifications.
