Are you a new graduate? Will you be practicing in a new practice area? Do you have a wealth of experience and knowledge you would like to share with others? Do you like teaching and collaborating with your fellow OT practitioners? If so, the NCOTA Mentorship Program may be a great fit for you!
The NCOTA Mentorship Program was founded in 2022 with the goal of helping OT practitioners tap into the existing knowledge, skills, and experience of other OT practitioners across the state of North Carolina.
To be considered for the NCOTA Mentorship Program, please consider the following:
NCOTA is proud to announce the roll-out of the 2024-2025 mentorship program. The mentorship program offered by NCOTA and managed by the Education and Research SIS co-chairs is open to any OT, OTA, or OTS who is a member of the association. Mentors should have three years of licensed experience and everyone who signs up should be interested in engaging in collaborative mentorship for up to one year. CEU credits and a certificate signed by the board president are available for individuals who complete the program. You can sign-up now by pasting the link below into your browser. Sign-up will close at the end of May and mentor/mentee pairs will be connected via email in June so that mentorship can begin with the start of the fiscal year and coincide with when CEUs are due for license renewal. **Please note, the NCOTA Mentorship program is separate from the NCBOT Mentorship agreement for continuing education credits (CEU). However, if participants would like to claim mentorship CEUs for licensure, please review the NCBOT CEU requirements and ensure documents are completed and timeframes met per their guidelines (https://www.ncbot.org/otpages/Continuing_Competence.html)
